Boron Nitride Coating
HeBoCoat® 10W is a highly concentrated, water based boron nitride coating. Refractory binders ensure good adhesion, including at high temperatures. HeBoCoat® 10W was specifically developed for use in aluminium foundries to effectively prevent the unwanted adhesion of the melt to equipment and a wide variety of components.
Typical applications for HeBoCoat® 10W
coating of launders, runners, tundishes, skim dams, hot top rings and tools in continuous casting applications
coating of ladles and crucibles
can be further diluted with water
high temperature resistance
low tool wear
high productivity achieved through reduced equipment downtime
high effectiveness at low dosage rates
chemically inert – not wetted by the vast majority of melts and slags
can be applied by spraying or paintbrush
